TERMS AND CONDITIONS Majestic Balkans Retreat Center Effective Date: 01.09.2025 1. BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS To confirm a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of €100 per person is required at the time of booking. Your booking is confirmed once the deposit is received, and you have received written confirmation from Majestic Balkans. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before the retreat start date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation without refund of the deposit. Payments can be made by bank transfer or other approved methods. Prices are listed in Euros (€) and may be subject to change prior to confirmation. 2. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellations by the Participant Cancellations made 60 days or more before the retreat start date: 100% refund of deposit. Cancellations made 30–59 days before: 50% refund of deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of the retreat start date: no refund. No refunds for late arrivals, early departures, or no-shows. One transfer of booking to another retreat date may be allowed up to 7 days before arrival, subject to availability and any difference in price. Cancellations by Majestic Balkans Majestic Balkans reserves the right to cancel or postpone a retreat due to: Insufficient participation Force majeure (natural disasters, political unrest, health emergencies) Other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control If we cancel, participants may choose between: A full refund of the retreat fee paid, or A transfer to a future retreat of equal value. Majestic Balkans is not responsible for additional costs, including flights, visas, insurance, or other travel arrangements. 3. HEALTH, SAFETY, AND LIABILITY Participation and Health Disclaimer Participation in activities (such as yoga, hiking, olive harvesting, and other excursions) is voluntary and at your own risk. You acknowledge that you are physically and mentally capable of participating and agree to take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing during the retreat. Participants must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary needs upon booking. We highly recommend informing the team about your health condition, including any allergies, disabilities, or phobias (such as fear of heights, chronic diseases, phobias), as well as any other relevant information that may affect your participation. Majestic Balkans and its staff will not be held responsible for any injuries, illnesses, losses, or damages that occur during your stay. We strongly recommend obtaining comprehensive travel and health insurance that covers medical emergencies, cancellations, and personal belongings. 4. ACCOMMODATION AND BEHAVIOR Accommodation and Code of Conduct Accommodation is provided as described in your booking confirmation. Room requests and upgrades are subject to availability and may incur additional costs. All guests are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward staff, fellow participants, and local residents at all times. Discrimination, harassment, or abuse of any kind — including sexual harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other behavior that violates the rights or dignity of others — will not be tolerated. Majestic Balkans reserves the right to remove any participant from the property without refund if their behavior endangers others, causes disruption, or violates local laws, retreat rules, or principles of respect and human rights. Smoking is not permitted in indoor spaces. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. 5. TRAVEL AND TRANSFERS Participants are responsible for arranging their travel to and from the retreat venue in Lukovë, Albania. Airport transfers are available between Tirana International Airport and Lukovë for €50 per person one way, if pre-booked. Missed transfers due to delayed or canceled flights are the responsibility of the participant. All participants are responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documents and visas for entry into Albania. 6. MEDIA AND PROMOTION During the retreat, photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes by Majestic Balkans. By attending, you consent to your image being used in marketing materials, social media, and the website. If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos, please inform us in writing before arrival, and we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. Participants may share their own photos and reviews of the retreat, granting Majestic Balkans permission to repost them with appropriate credit. 7. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION Majestic Balkans respects and protects your privacy in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal information collected during booking (such as your name, contact details, and dietary or health information) is processed solely for operational and safety purposes, including organizing accommodation, transportation, and retreat activities. Your data will only be shared with trusted third parties (such as accommodation or transport providers) when necessary to deliver the services you have booked, and only to the extent required. All partners are contractually obligated to handle your information securely and in compliance with GDPR. We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill these purposes or to meet legal obligations. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time, as well as the right to restrict or object to its processing. We may contact you after the retreat for feedback or to inform you about future retreats. You can withdraw your consent or opt out of communications at any time by contacting us. CHANGES TO SERVICES OR SCHEDULE Majestic Balkans reserves the right to modify retreat schedules, instructors, or activities if necessary due to weather, safety, or operational reasons, while maintaining the quality of the experience. Significant changes will be communicated as soon as possible. 9. DISCLAIMER AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY All services are provided “as is.” Majestic Balkans makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance or suitability of its retreats. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Majestic Balkans, its staff, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including injury, loss, or expenses resulting from participation in a retreat or travel to and from the venue. Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific retreat booking. 10. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Any disputes will first be addressed through amicable resolution. If unresolved, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Tirana, Albania. 11. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS By confirming your booking or participating in a retreat, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
